The kitchen and dining room were unconnected in this house. We proposed an opening to connect the two and create a semi open plan area which still felt like two distinct spaces. This created a bright and open space, which still felt cosy in the dining room when guests were over.

This dining room can now make use of the natural light from the garden aswell as useful access. Previously there were no doors in this room. Dark hertiage doors were chosen to reflect the character of the house

Open plan kitchen, dining room and living room extension. Light floods in from the above roof lights and illuminates the exposed joists. Several design iterations were created before a final option was picked. Blue eningeered brick and a parapet roof was propsed to create a dramatic elevation. Brick patterns break up the elevation and are an inexpensive way to create interest above the large bi-fold doors.
